It
is a great pleasure and honor to invite you to the 4th International Conference
on Biopolymers and Bioplastics which will take place in Rome, Italy from 14 to 15
November 2022. with the theme Recent advances and future trends in Biopolymers and
Bioplastics.
This
conference is an excellent event where scientists will be able to discuss about
biopolymers, but it is also open to all those who want to learn more about this
field; what are biopolymers, what are their properties, obstacles in processing
and application, and their advantages and disadvantages.
We
all know that the primary sources of biopolymers are renewable. Many, but not
all, biopolymers are biodegradable, which means they are capable of decomposing
into carbon dioxide, methane, water, inorganic compounds or biomass by the
enzymatic action of microorganisms. Not all people understand this
biodegradability and it is necessary to raise awareness about the fact that not
all biopolymers can be thrown out the window and they will decompose. Till now biopolymers
make up only a small percentage of the polymer market, due to their primarily poor
mechanical properties, but the development is focused on improving and creating
biopolymer composites that will approach the application as well as ordinary
polymer materials obtained from petroleum.
See
you in Rome!
